This episode's guest is Louis Chude-Sokei,  a Jamaican-Nigerian scholar, writer, and sonic thinker. In Chude-Sokei's landmark essay Dr Satan's Echo Chamber, the echo chamber begins as a studio technology—the machine of reggae and dub that repeats, delays, and transforms sound, creating versions of an original that are both familiar and strange. It then becomes something far bigger: the diaspora itself.
